Hello! I'm one of the co-owners of Vintage Shojo Princess, Magdalene Peyton! (Or you can call me "Meg" for short.) I am a self-taught artist passionate about creating cute, pretty and clean vintage-style shojo art that girls of all ages can enjoy. As this is my first blog post, I thought I'd start by introducing myself and sharing my plans for the near future.

I recently put up my art gallery page, so check it out if you're curious: Meg's Portfolio and Art Gallery. I draw Sweet Lolita-looking characters, the magical girl mascot on this website's banner, and, more often than not, pink-haired girls... Basically you can expect girly art from me! However, I do like experimenting with different character designs and styles, so I hope to show you more variety from my gallery in the future.

While I want to expand my art portfolio, my dream has always been to draw my own manga; one that inspires young girls to be kind and selfless and to become their best selves. I am currently developing the story and plot for a manga, but the whole project is still in the beginning stages right now. I won't have anything to show of it for a while, but, once I do, I'll definitely post about it here. I'd love to share sneak peeks and character designs in a blog post!

I also have ideas for other things to blog about, such as my art inspirations, kid-friendly anime/manga recommendations, and how to get inspired for your own shojo/magical girl art or manga. Though I can't promise how often I'll be able to post! Still, if you're an artist, a magical girl enthusiast, a parent looking for clean yet fun content for your daughter, or just a girly-girl yourself, I hope you'll enjoy the upcoming content that we have in store for you at Vintage Shojo Princess!
