​Welcome to Vintage Shojo Princess! If you read the 'About' or 'Art' sections on this website, you might have an idea of what this website is all about by now. If not, that is the purpose of this first blog post!

My name is Thérèse Peyton. I am a self-taught artist from the US who specializes in making art and stories inspired by the cute, gentle, and charming style of shojo/magical girl manga and anime. My sister, Magdalene (also a shojo manga artist) and I created Vintage Shojo Princess in order to share our original art and stories with all of you! Our website name comes from our love of vintage shojo/magical girl anime art styles and how greatly they have influenced our own art styles. The 'Princess' part of the name is meant to reflect the dreamy, fairy tale aesthetic of our art.

Like most blogs, I will probably approach it sort of like an online journal, sharing my creative journey, my faith, showcasing some of my art and maybe even going behind-the-scenes, perhaps even sharing some art tips and indulging in a daydream or two out loud.  But as I'm busy with some different art and writing projects right now, I'm not going to commit to writing here frequently, still, I'll see what I can do. (Then again, maybe these projects would be worth writing about here…)

I’ll also be sharing this blog space with Magdalene, so you’ll get to read about art, writing, anime, or life in general from not one, but two vintage shojo princesses!·₊˚˖˙♕♕·₊˚˖
